O Thou from whom comes the breath of life, which is

     present in all realms of vibration and light.

Let the light and sound be experience in my own

     "holy of holies."

Let the "I can" of the cosmos come to pass thru us.

Let your desire be, as in the all that vibrates,

so also in the most dense and material.

Give us understanding and support for our needs from day to day.

Loose the cords of mistakes binding us as we release

the strands we hold of others faults.

Do not let surface things delude us.

But free us from what holds us back from our true purpose.

For to you, in you, belongs the ruling ideas and principals,

the life force to accomplish them and the song that adds glory to all,

from each gathering to the next.

I affirm this with my whole being.

New Year's Meditation

by

Evelyn D. Bennett

To all who would make these words

their own, "Happy New Year!"

Relax and let go of thoughts

On things that happened yesterday,

On things that happened in the past,

And on things that might happen today.

Let go and take hold of this very moment.

Relax and let God

Guide you and guard you,

Heal you, comfort you,

Prosper and Bless you --

Know in you heart

You are now at the gate

Of the happiest of years --

And for this, give thanks!

The morning fog hangs low in the valleys

Without view of river or tree.

It folds around my world

And closes me in with me.

I direct my thoughts upward

Searching for the light

Like an airplane powered skyward

Steadily gaining height

Above the closed-in ground.

Upwards thoughts, Godward!

You don't have to be bound

In doubt or fogged by fear.

The light of God is constant

And faith's radar sees though, clear.

Oh, Thank You, God of mind's heaven!

I learn from this earthborn sight

That the fog of my unknowning

Clears as I reach the Light!

God's Time

by

Donna Miesbach

"What time is it?" you're asking.

Why, it's time to simply be,

To find my higher, inner self

That is uniquely me!

It's time to go exploring

The hidden deeps within

That I might find my secret springs--

It's time that I begin!

For it's a time rich with potential,

A time to start--not to end.

You're asking what the time is?

It is God's time, my friend!

Prayer for Protection

by

James Dillet Freeman

The Light of God surrounds me.

The Love of God enfolds me.

The power of God protects me.

The presence of God watches over me.

The mind of God guides me.

The life of God flows through me.

The law of God directs me.

The power of God abides within me.

The joy of God uplifts me.

The strength of God renews me.

The beauty of God inspires me.

Wherever I am, God is!!

Lord, Make me a instrument of Thy peace;

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console;

to be understood, as to understand;

to be loved, as to love;

for it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

And it is in dying that we are born to

eternal life.

Amen.

TRUST IN DIVINE ORDER

By Rev. Gail Dobert

Director of Silent Unity's Telephone Prayer Ministry

"The law of Divine Order and harmony is satisfied in me and

I behold myself a tower of spiritual strength and stability."

~Cora Fillmore

"It is all in Divine Order."  How often I say those words.  Sometimes when I say that phrase, I feel like I am being a little glib--just using it as a platitude instead of really embracing the full scope of what it means.  Please join me this month as we celebrate the Power of Order.  Let's refresh our hearts and minds about what it means to say, believe and experience: "It is all in Divine Order."

Order is the law of the Universe.  There is a divine and perfect order to all of life.  To me, Divine Order is asking what is mine to do through prayer, and then trusting and allowing that process to take place.  I often end my prayers with, "I let go, knowing it is so--and gratefully so it is."  One of the most important aspects of prayer is releasing and trusting.

One wouldn't think of digging up a seed that has been planted in a garden to see it it is taking root and growing.  Prayer is a seed we plant and order is the process of life unfolding within each seed.

Can you remember a time when you have tried to "dig up the seeds" of your prayers instead of allowing the process of manifestation to occur?  I certainly can.  I must admit that I am at times an impatient person.  I have a sense of urgency about most things--in other words I like action!

The funny thing is that fall and winter are my favorite seasons.  They are seasons when it looks as if nothing is growing or changing on the outside, and yet all things are teeming with life inside as they prepare for spring.  When I take time to ponder my natural surroundings, I see how important it is to trust divine order in every situation.

I invite you in this very moment to setp into the knowing that all of life is teeming with divine order.

There is One Presence and One Power moving in and through us

in divine and perfect order!

Trust and know this to be true in your own life.

Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of the Unity spiritual movement, believed the purpose of the Unity youth program was not to “entertain the children, but instead, to draw them out,” to assist and support young people through spiritual foundation and development. The Youth Ministry team at West Sound Unity is dedicated to creating a safe, open environment where age-appropriate curriculum and activities open the door to experiencing the light and love of God within.

Infants and toddlers receive caring, nurturing attention in a safe environment so parents can confidently enjoy the Sunday service celebration. Our grade school and teen programs provide spiritual guidance and self-exploration in a safe, friendly atmosphere. All programs are grounded in Unity's basic teachings and universal spiritual principles.

Five Basic Unity Principles:

  • God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
  • I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.
  • I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
  • Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
  • I do and give my best by living the Truth that I know. I make a difference!
